Isaac Comerford

Based in the East of Ireland

I am Isaac Comerford, a Photography Graduate with a love for cinematic storytelling through photographs. My work comprises of photographic narratives of experiences and raw human emotion, symbolised and composed meticulously over a photographic series and installation to demonstrate them. My work is across a range of studio, street and portrait photography in a contemporary manner, with influences from the likes of Elia Brutherus and Jeff Wall. My artistic practice is followed by my love of cinema and Film stills, where I adopt my already cinematic approach to photography in the world of cinema.

Isaac is a graduate student with a bachelors in photography in the Techonological university of Dublin and was a finalist in the Fótó na nÓg Young Photographers Awards at age 18, and his imagery has been used in theatre and film collaborations as both stills and behind‑the‑scenes work. Splitting his time between commissioned portraiture, collaborative creative projects, and personal series, he aims to build a career in stills photography while continuing to use images to open up conversations around mental health in the contemporary world.
